Lancaster, PA — The Lancaster City Democratic Committee today announced its endorsement procedure for the 2021 Municipal Primary Election.

Per the committee's by-laws, the following deadlines are in place:

Candidates shall announce their intention to run for office in writing to the Chairperson of the City Committee prior to January 1, 2021.
Candidates must complete a Lancaster County Democratic Committee vetting questionnaire and submit it to the Chairperson of the Lancaster County Democratic Committee by January 5, 2021. This questionnaire will be posted to the LCDC website by December 1, 2020.
Between January 5, 2021 and no later then 7 days before the February City Committee Endorsement Convention (date TBD) the Nominating Committees will review candidates’ vetting questionnaires, invite select candidates for interviews, and conduct candidate interviews.
Prior to January 31, 2021 the Nominating Committees shall present their recommendations to the City Committee via electronic mail.
Prior to February 9, 2021 the City Committee shall meet for the purposes of an Endorsement Convention, and the Nominating Committee chairpersons shall announce their recommended candidates at this meeting.
